Thanks to my buddy Jade, I actually got to watch some hockey last night as the Pens got back into the Stanley Cup Final with a 4-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings. I predicted a 4-1 Pens win. Close enough. Anyone but the Wings! Go Pens!
A final note before I go regarding the Alberni Golf Club Men's Club events that go (almost) every Sunday. Thanks to Gerry Fagan for the update!
The Men’s Club this past Sunday saw Preban Rasmussen shoot a 74 to take home 3 balls on the gross side, while Cory Nielson won 2 balls for his 76. Bob Matlock had the low net of the day carding a very suspicious 60 winning 3 balls and Wayne Johnstone took home 2 balls for his 66.
Closest to the pins were won by Steve White on No 2, which was also the charity KP and collected $23 for his effort, Ken Manhas on No 4
Jean Contant on No 13, Preban Rasmussen on No 17 and Steve White for his second shot on No 6.
This Sunday is the red white and blue competition, sponsored by Port Boat House. The way it goes is as follows, each hole you hit from a different tee marker. Just so there wont be any confusion the score cards will be marked. Every man for himself in this event, just make up your own foursomes and register in the Pro Shop. You can also register as a single and Bruce will put you in a group. The shotgun start is at 8AM, with breakfast available starting at 6:30.
That's it!
