Canucks host Kings on THE PEAK, GM place on strike, Salvation Army and THE PEAK need your help!

The Canucks are back in action tonight as they host the LA Kings. Catch the pregame show on THE PEAK at 6:30pm, with the puck drop and the play-by-play shortly after 7:00pm

It might be an interesting sight heading into GM place tonight, and it might be a tough job to get a beer or something to eat.....this beauty showed up in my email this morning from CKNW

CKNW Breaking News... 700 unionized employees at GM Place have gone on strike. The Canucks have a home game tonight so hockey fans will be greeted by picket lines.

Yikes....

It's a big day tomorrow as the Salvation Army needs your help. The Peak has jumped on board to try and help them tomorrow. Hopefully we'll see you there!

Let’s spring into action Port Alberni and help the Salvation Army rise from the ashes!

A fire recently destroyed much of the Salvation Army Thrift Store’s stock and they need your help replacing it. So clean out your closets and drop off your unwanted spring/summer clothing and household items at the special donation drive this Saturday from 10 to 2 in the Wal-mart parking lot. Evan and Jolie from the Peak will be there and the Salvation Army’s critical response unit will be serving up hot dogs and refreshments.
