If you haven't seen the Coulson Rink of the Alberni Valley Multiplex, you are MISSING OUT!
City of Port Alberni Parks and Rec Staff transform the rink into an amazing winter scene straight out of Flin Flon, Manitoba! HA!
These pictures were taken about 1130am today.
And these ones are from about 5:00pm tonight. Amazing progress already. Just wait till it's DONE!
And here's one after the first period tonight...What a transformation!
Huge congrats goes out to Bulldogs Assistant Equipment Manager Jamie Amos, who's working his 500th Junior Hockey Game tonight. After starting with the Junior B. Port Alberni Bandits, Jamie has worked over 350 games with the Bulldogs. Pictured below is Jamie and Dogs trainer Jess Moser, with his 500th game puck. Cool. Way to go Jamo!
Below - A blast from the past from the 2006-2007 season, as Jamie reached 400 games in Langley. Jamie is with then Bulldogs Trainer Preston Charles.
Is someone from the Victoria Grizzlies reading the blog? The creativity award of the day TODAY goes to whomever it was on the Grizzlies side of the puck that set up their warm up pucks in the shape of a "W" what they hope to end up with at the pound tonight.
