Grizz 3, Dogs 1, Dogs host Caps tonight.

A pretty good 45 minutes of hockey for the Dogs last night, but as everyone knows games are 60 minutes old. The Grizzlies did last night what they did last Saturday at the Pound, and that's score two goals in a span of just over a minute to take a tie game and all of a sudden lead by two. Last Saturday at the Pound a 2-2 tie turned to 4-2 Victoria in just over a minute in the second. Last night a 1-1 tie turned to 3-1 Victoria again in just over a minute late in the third. It spoiled what was otherwise an outstanding effort by the Dogs where they stuck to their game plan to perfection.

The Dogs have a home and home sked with the Clippers next week with a game in Nanaimo Friday and then the Clippers make their first trip of the season to the Pound on Friday.

The Dogs try to make it two in a row over the Cowichan Valley Capitals tonight, catch the pregame on Port Alberni Safeway Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM at 6:45 with the puck drop and all the play-by-play at 7:00.

My first intermission guest will be Dogs forward Ben Payne. Nanaimo Clippers play-by-play voice Dan Marshall joins me in the second intermission. Of course Bryant Perrier and Scott Robinson will be on the pregame show.
