24th Annual Toy Run Roars into town TODAY!

No rest for the wicked.....I'm back at it today covering the 24th Annual Toy Run for 93.3 The Peak FM.

The Bikes leave Little Qualicum Falls at NOON SHARP (hopefully) and then make their way down Highway 4 into Port Alberni. The run comes down Johnston Road, turns left up Gertrude and then follows it to Stamp, and then Third Ave. up to Kingsway where they veer right to get to the Harbour Quay where they do the lap of the fountain before heading back up Argyle. Once they reach 10th they hang a left and follow it all the way to Roger, where they turn right and follow to to the left hand turn onto Vimy St. and the ride into Glenwood Centre.

If you can't make it out, I'll do my best to bring you all the sights and sounds on your radio! Kids events happen at the Glenwood Centre starting at 1pm. Tonnes of great family fun is to be had to I hope you make it out! The adult bike rodeo kicks off at 2pm and goes throughout the afternoon.

The BIG DANCE goes tonight at 8pm....Don't bother asking about a ticket, it's been sold out since the dawn of time! Maloomba Boogie Band and Cruze Control will perform.

Come for the kids stuff or the adults stuff and sit in the beer gardens and have a good time!

Remember, it's all for the kids....All of the toys brought in, and all of the funds raised stay right here in the Alberni Valley.

1018 was the official number of bikes last year - the BIGGEST EVER. I'm predicting close to 1500 this year, to just plain blow it out of the water. I hope I'm right!!
